Laura draws upon several elements of her unique background in shaping her approach to yoga. As a former professional beach volleyball player she understands the importance of discipline, routine and structure emphasizing proper movement, technique and alignment to incrementally build her students' practice, while managing and preventing injuries.
She has over 2,000 hours of teacher training hours under master yogis including Annie Carpenter, Maty Ezraty, and Noah Maze. She has most recently assisted a 200 hour teacher training alongside Thomas Taubman.
With a Masters degree in Counseling, Laura also focuses on the psychological benefits of yoga, and treats all of her students, from beginners to advanced practitioners, with empathy and individual attention.
Authentic to her energetic personality, Laura’s classes are creative, challenging and methodical — invigorating enough for the athletically minded, yet instructive enough for all yogis determined to improve upon their own practice. She emphasizes taking the time to set up postures and ensure smooth transitions with a focus on increasing mobility, stability, core strength and most importantly having fun!
